First of all a huge welcome to Dalswinton Estate Events Venue. We are delighted you are considering us as a venue and we very much hope you choose to host your event with us. Our beautiful 18th Century walled-garden has developed over the years; from employing 10 full time gardeners who provided vegetables for the whole estate to a space that our head gardener, Sandy Hutchison, maintains to an impeccable standard for year round events. We work hard to maintain our high standards throughout the whole of the Estate, a standard that will undoubtedly translate into your event.
Events in the walled garden are run in partnership with William and Sophie Duncan. Whilst we keep a keen eye on proceedings, Will and Sophie along with their team are responsible for booking and managing your event www.queensberryevents.co.uk. We are sure they will endeavour to make sure you have the best possible experience of this wonderful estate. Alongside them we have worked hard to create a wonderful setting for your wedding, and we hope that you will consider our beautiful Estate your home for the day.

Only 7 miles north of Dumfries, Dalswinton Estate is renowned for the beauty of its gardens – the perfect backdrop for our Marquee venue. Situated in the sheltered walled garden of Dalswinton Country Estate, beside our beautiful loch, the grounds included in your hire are perfect for an outdoor wedding ceremony and drinks reception, with endless lighting and accessories on offer to really wow your guests from start to finish!

Our simply stunning clear-span marquee has been lovingly designed to complement the beautiful 18th century gardens it is situated within. The combination of the panoramic clear walls over-looking the lawns, the classic flat white lining, exquisite chandeliers and lighting and subtle farrow and ball tones throughout have combined to create a beautifully presented blank canvas for you to enhance in your own unique way.
Everything you need is supplied as standard. The marquee seats up to 250 guests with space for bar, lounge area and dance floor – we can partition the marquee to make the internal space perfect for your numbers and create the right atmosphere for a good party! We have a built in kitchen, toilets with power and heating all provided as standard. We can make the venue bigger on request.
We have moved away from ‘packages’ to allow for your every desire to be a possibility. Your wedding day is the start of your married lives together and it should encapsulate you in every way. We can work with you to develop a day that will allow you to relax and enjoy, safe in the knowledge that every detail has been thought of.
Our garden venue is available to hire for any event, this beautiful event space could be used for: Corporate events, charity fundraisers, Balls, Birthday parties.

The catering is a hugely important part of your day which is why Dalswinton Estate Weddings works closely with a local catering company, BQA Events. They are our preferred catering supplier for many reasons. The food directly reflects our venue even if it is from an external source and we want all aspects of an event at Dalswinton to represent the highest possible standards.
There are many other aspects that we liaise on with the catering team to ensure your day runs perfectly. Working with BQA helps to ensure that the highest possible standard is maintained throughout your entire day.

With the above in mind we do understand and appreciate that everyone has their own style and taste, we are therefore happy to discuss working with alternative catering suppliers to see if this could be facilitated. Please note there will be an additional fee for external caterers to cover our additional costs in using them.
An event manager will be on hand throughout your day to ensure everything runs smoothly. You will have the same manager from booking right through to when your last guest leaves, allowing you can really relax and enjoy your big day!
Our Marquee Venue is available to hire on any day, peak season is May-October, with Saturdays our most popular and priced accordingly.

For those of you wanting to personalise your marquee, all of Queensberry Events gorgeous finishing touches are all available to upgrade your interiors (furniture, lighting, floral/hanging installations etc).
We believe that a well chosen and fairly priced drinks menu can make a wedding to remember, which is why we include our very own “Berry&Co” Prosecco van as standard with our drinks packages.
